We are so proud to have Alejandra Rodriguez Boughton of La Flaca as a member of the Cook’s Nook! Back in mid-July, Rodriguez-Boughton started a new farm in southwest Austin with healthy soil and rare seeds to help grow products for chefs, caterers and food artisans who are searching for unique ingredients. Through La Flaca’s ups and downs, including mishaps with a bobcat stuck in their ditch and shoveling soil amendments to shape their beds through the summer heat, it’s all been an entirely worthwhile adventure and investment.
